At Dutch Private Tours, the safety and wellbeing of our passengers is the foundation of everything we do. With over 30 years of experience in professional passenger transportation, we have built our service on the principles of responsible driving, well-maintained vehicles, and trained professional drivers.
Our Vehicles
All vehicles used by Dutch Private Tours and our subcontractors meet the requirements set by Dutch law for professional passenger transport. Our vehicles are:
We do not exceed the maximum passenger capacity of any vehicle. If you have booked a tour for up to 8 passengers, your vehicle is certified and insured for that capacity.
Our Drivers
All drivers operating on behalf of Dutch Private Tours are professional, licensed, and experienced. They hold the required certifications under Dutch law for commercial passenger transport, know the routes well, and are committed to safe and responsible driving at all times.
Drivers will never operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any other substance. If you ever feel unsafe during a tour, you have the right to ask the driver to stop the vehicle.
Seatbelts
All passengers are required to wear a seatbelt at all times during the journey. This applies to all seats in the vehicle. Children must be seated in an appropriate child seat. If you are travelling with young children, please inform us at the time of booking so we can arrange the correct child seat in advance.
Medical Conditions and Special Requirements
If you or any member of your group has a medical condition, disability, or special requirement that may affect your safety or comfort during the tour, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure your journey is safe and comfortable.
Weather and Road Conditions
Tours operate in most weather conditions. However, in the event of officially declared dangerous weather (code red issued by KNMI, the Dutch meteorological institute), Dutch Private Tours reserves the right to reschedule the tour for the safety of all passengers. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date at no extra cost.
Tours are not cancelled due to rain, wind, or cold weather. We recommend dressing appropriately for the season.
Emergency Situations
In the unlikely event of an emergency during your tour, your driver is trained to respond calmly and appropriately. The Netherlands has a well-developed emergency services network. In case of emergency, the national emergency number is 112.
Travel Insurance
Dutch Private Tours strongly recommends that all passengers arrange comprehensive travel insurance before their trip. This should include coverage for medical expenses, personal liability, cancellation, and lost or damaged belongings. Dutch Private Tours and its subcontractors cannot be held liable for costs arising from incidents that fall outside the scope of their professional insurance.
